Wow. I have lost a significant capacity to see: way to much time was spent straining my eyes to read the big screen where the text was being displayed.

We moved a little faster today but we are still having a night session.

For those following the negotiations, here is where we are at:

Members have adopted:

  • 4.9
  • 12.4
  • 12.5
  • 12:8
  • 11.2
  • 8.2
  • 8.3
  • 12.10
  • 12.10 bis
  • 12.11
  • 23.2

Friends of the Chair groups have been established for:

  •  12.9
  • 23
  • 12.11 bis
  • 12.12
  • 11.2

and two paragraphs have been deleted:

  • 12.12
  • 23.3

I am going to `partake in the pizza party provided by the Chair, Dr. Meyers and then try to update this post with some of the adopted text!  A friend suggested that the pizza be divided according to the wealth of the attendees’ respective countries. Could be a very interesting exercise. I would get a pretty big slice. But if we opted for distribution by popularity… I think the Canadians would go hungry 😦 (more on this later)

Buon appetito!

  1. More detail on the approved texts! « Food Governance

[…] I posted a rather abstract review of the outcomes of today’s negotiations before  running off to grab a slice of pizza (thanks again to the Chair for providing dinner!) You can read that here: https://foodgovernance.com/2012/03/06/day-2-voluntary-guidelines-negotiation/ […]
