19 Oct Committee on World Food Security Updates its Rules of Procedures

Today, 89 of the 124 member states of the CFS voted on the amended rules of procedures.  88 voted in favour, 1 voted against.
Rules were adopted. This means one item is off Saturday’s agenda!

The biggest issue on the new Rules is that the Chairperson can be elected for a period of two years on a rotational basis of individual qualifications and can only hold the term two times (total of four years).
