So as people start getting geared up for Rio+20, MoreAndBetter have created a useful guide: MoreABetter_Rio+20-TimeToAct_en
I am still not convinced of the value of engaging in this forum. I can’t help but wonder if it would not be far more radical for CSOs (NGOs and social movements) to stay home. By not participating in the conference, they not only save resources and limit their environmental impact but they also make a major statement about the failure and limitation of the current model of global governance.
Maybe I am being synical and I do see the value of civil society engagement in global governence (and I dedicate a great deal of time and energy into this topic) but for some reason I can’t get excited for Rio+20.
Anyway, perhaps I can be convinced otherwise!
